Hayli has been our QuickBooks wizard for years, keeping two of Karen’s 7-figure businesses running smoothly. Oh, and did we mention she has not one, but two Master’s degrees? Yep, she's that amazing! When she’s not balancing the books, she’s balancing life in Illinois with her five energetic young children and her husband, who’s wrapping up his medical school years. Superwoman, anyone?"

Karen’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Picture this: a classically trained singer paying her way through college by teaching voice lessons. After graduating, she dived headfirst into sales, getting hands-on training at companies like CBS and Xerox. She crushed it, earning top honors like President’s Club and winning the International Xerox Demo competition. With that momentum, she joined an internet start-up as VP of Sales, just as the dot-com boom started heating up.

When her third daughter, Penelope, was born, Karen was itching to return to her true passion: entrepreneurship. She launched her own podcast for entrepreneurs during the dot-com frenzy, spotlighting CEOs and their internet strategies. Her podcast led her to host a CEO panel at Internet World in New York and publish a nationally syndicated weekly column featured in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Inc. Magazine.

Fast-forward a bit, and Karen partnered with her oldest daughter, Kjarstin, to open Glee Music Academy in Orange County, California, after Kjarstin graduated in piano performance. In the eighth year of the business, they joined a business financial literacy program that helped them get out of debt, start a regular salary, and quickly make the company profitable. Together, they built the academy into a thriving business with over

300 students and 25 employees, and after a decade, they successfully sold it to a large corporation.   After learning the power of business financial literacy, Karen wanted to share the “good news.” She became an evangelist for teaching financial literacy and building corporate credit.
